Secrets of York Minsters Great East Window - Thursday 6th March

There is availability in No 5 Monkbridge Court over this period.  Book a mid-week out of season break and enjoy a fascinating insight into new discoveries that have been uncovered during the conservation of York Minster's Great East Window will be revealed at a lecture hosted by the Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust on Thursday 6th March.

At the evening lecture, entitled "Looking for John Thornton", the glazier contracted in 1405 to design and install the window in only three years, Sarah Brown, Director of the York Glaziers Trust, will be detailing what her team have uncovered during the restoration of this iconic stained glass window.

Organised by the Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust, a charity offering grants to preserve and repair churches in Yorkshire, the lecture will be a fantastic opportunity to get an insight into how the work has been undertaken and the new discoveries that have come to light.
